History
Thorpe Brothers was founded as a family-owned business in 1946 by siblings Walter, Les, George, Jim, and Betty, along with their father Fred Thorpe. Key projects of Thorpe Brothers in the 60’s included Tech High School and the Albert Pulp Mill. Projects in the 70’s included Carlton High School, and then numerous hospital projects in Saskatoon in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Thorpe Brothers remains a family owned company now being run by the 4th generation, with all shareholders being active.
Early projects involved the Prince Albert and Northern Saskatchewan markets. Since then we have also worked in the Saskatoon area on various projects. Thorpe Brothers has a reputation for retaining a portion of long term employees. We are also active in many construction and safety associations as well as the apprenticeship system.

Qualifications
ADMINISTRATION
Our Insurance and bonding capacity allows us to participate in large projects. We have experience setting up and working in all types of contract arrangements. These include project management, regular bidding to general contractors, and design-build for mechanical.
MECHANICAL
We employ journeyperson plumbing, gas fitting, and ventilation personnel. We have working arrangements with many HVAC and plumbing manufacturers.
